During the fall of 1994 Ean Fank became employed by a renowned second-generation historic preservation contractor. As a traditional trades apprentice, he was trained in legacy building methods and preservation technology. Within his first decade of engagement, Ean was appointed to a leadership position. As a working foreman and superintendent, Ean successfully managed dozens of high profile publicly funded preservation campaigns in the Philadelphia area.
Ean formed his own company in the early 2000’s and began offering preservation services to decerning clientele. These initial independent forays primarily consisted of consultation services for local preservation architects and masonry restoration. Significant Structures functioned as a respected but small operation as Ean continued to pursue project management for established historic general contractors.
Management and estimating opportunities took Ean around the county. He was blessed with the opportunity to oversee the preservation of some of the Nations most important cultural sites. During this time, he worked as a historic preservation consultant for Wu & Associates, a Project Manger for the largest preservation company on the West Coast, Spectra, and a regional project manager for the prestigious Evergreen Architectural Arts.
Ean has received awards for his contributions to preservation by the California Preservation Foundation and Arizona Governor’s Heritage Award. He has acquired a construction management BA from Rowan University and serves on the board of the Association of Preservation Technology.
Significant Structures is now his full-time passion. This company continues to serve the preservation community across the United States. With offices in New Jersey and California we are a versatile company with a proven record of costumer satisfaction. Thirty years of operating exclusively on historic structures has prepared us to serve your institution.
